Seriah Chissay

Seriah Chissay entered eternal rest peacefully on March 23rd, 2024, at Haven Health in Show Low, Arizona. She was born November 20th, 1947, to her parents Knapp Chissay and Lena Lupe (Pina).

Seriah was a loving, kind, caring, faith praying women who loved her family and friends. She loved herself a good fill-in puzzle book and making quilts for her grandchildren. She also loved going on adventures, seeing the wonders of the world, making bread outside, and picking acorns.

She is survived by her brothers, Belfew Chissay and Oliver Pina; her son, Melvis Patterson; her grandchildren, Tamilyn Tsosie, Melvissa Chissay, Esther Patterson, Earl Patterson, Tisha Patterson, Jamie Pina, Avern Pina, Relena Manuel, Glenale Caddo, and Sarah Caddo; her nieces and nephews, Belfred Chissay, Rodridgo Chissay, Belfaya Chissay, Cecly Chissay and Belfew Chissay Jr; and many great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded by her parents, Knapp Chissay and Lena Lupe (Pina); her brother, Nelphew; her sister, Sarah Klien; her children, Patricia, and Joni Patterson; her grandchildren, Janie Pina, and Delvis Chissay; and her great- grandchild, Levaiah Henry.

Seriah will be brought back home for a one-night Wake on Thursday April 4th, 2024, at 10:00am at 1024 S. Cooley Road in Cibecue. Her Funeral Service will be held the following day Friday April 5th, 2024, at 10:00am at the Full Gospel Church in Cibecue. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Cibecue.
